Refund Policy

1. General Policy
All purchases of travel planning services from The Tico Way are final. Due to the customized and digital nature of our itineraries, we do not offer refunds once the service has been delivered.
By purchasing a plan, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

2. Service Fees vs. Booking Costs (Premium Plan)

The service fee charged by The Tico Way for the Premium Plan is separate from the costs of bookings (lodging, activities, transportation, experiences).

The service fee is non-refundable once work has begun, regardless of provider availability or client changes of mind.

All booking costs are charged separately and are subject to the terms and policies of each provider (e.g., hotel, transportation company, tour operator).

3. Essential & Explorer Plans

These packages consist of personalized itineraries delivered in digital format (PDF and/or Google Maps link).

Once the itinerary has been sent to you, no refunds, cancellations, or partial refunds will be granted.

4. Pura Vida Premium Plan – Bookings

If The Tico Way facilitates bookings on your behalf, we act only as an intermediary.

All reservations are subject exclusively to the provider’s cancellation and refund policies.

The Tico Way is not responsible for refunds denied, penalties imposed, or policy changes by providers.

Any disputes regarding cancellations, date changes, or refunds must be handled directly with the provider.

5. Client Responsibility
Refunds will not be issued for:

Change of mind or change of travel dates after purchase.

Dissatisfaction with provider availability, pricing, or policies.

Travel interruptions, delays, cancellations, or force majeure events (e.g., weather, strikes, natural disasters).

Errors or incomplete information provided by the client.

6. Exceptions

In rare cases where a payment error or duplicate charge occurs for The Tico Way service fee, a full refund will be issued for the incorrect transaction.

Requests must be submitted in writing to info@theticoway.com within 7 calendar days of the charge.

7. Limitation of Liability
The Tico Way’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for our service fee only. We are not liable for indirect losses, additional costs, or claims arising from third-party providers.
