Nature of Service​
The Tico Way provides custom travel planning services in Costa Rica. Depending on the package purchased:

Essential & Explorer Plans: We provide itinerary recommendations only. All reservations are the client’s responsibility.

Pura Vida Premium Plan: Upon request, we may facilitate bookings (lodging, activities, transportation) as an intermediary between the client and third-party providers.
We are not a travel agency, carrier, hotel, or tour operator. All third-party services are subject to the terms and conditions of the provider.

Payments & Pricing​

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Payment is required in full before delivery of the itinerary.

For Premium bookings, additional costs (lodging, transport, activities) are the responsibility of the client and may be billed directly by providers or, if authorized, through The Tico Way.
Delivery

Travel plans are delivered via email as a PDF (with a Google Maps link where applicable).

Delivery timelines vary by package and are stated on the website.

Express delivery is available for Premium plans at an additional fee.
Revisions
-
Essential Plan: No revisions included.

Explorer Plan: 1 round of revisions included.

Pura Vida Premium: Up to 2 rounds of revisions included.

Extra revisions are available for an additional fee.
Bookings & Client Responsibility (Premium Plan)

When The Tico Way makes bookings, we act only as a facilitator. Contracts for services (lodging, transport, activities, tours, etc.) are strictly between the client and the provider.

Liability Disclaimer: The Tico Way is not responsible for:

Delays, cancellations, overbookings, or changes made by providers.

Accidents, injuries, illnesses, or losses during travel.

Force majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, political unrest, etc.).

Clients are responsible for ensuring:

Valid passports, visas, health documents, and insurance.
-
Reviewing provider policies, terms, and cancellation conditions.

Having adequate travel insurance (highly recommended).

Cancellations & Refunds

Due to the digital nature of our services, all sales are final once the itinerary has been delivered.

For Premium bookings, all cancellations, refunds, or changes are subject exclusively to the policies of the respective providers. The Tico Way is not liable for provider refund refusals or penalties.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The Tico Way disclaims any liability for damages, losses, or claims arising from the actions, errors, or negligence of third-party providers.

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid to The Tico Way for the travel planning service purchased.

By purchasing a plan, clients agree that any disputes will be governed under Costa Rican law and subject to the jurisdiction of Costa Rican courts.
Intellectual Property
All itineraries, guides, and materials provided by The Tico Way are for personal use only and may not be copied, resold, or redistributed without written consent.
